Leading casino software developer, Microgaming is the latest major industry player to sign up with the new All-In Diversity Project. This ground-breaking initiative is aimed at promoting equality and inclusivity in the gaming sector on a global scale.
Now officially a founding member of the All-In Diversity Project, Microgaming joins a host of other high-profile organisations – including Kindred, GiG, IGT and Paddy Power – to come on board. Both Microgaming and the founders of the All-In Diversity Project have expressed great enthusiasm about the developer’s involvement with the initiative and the powerful possibilities that this presents for both parties as well as the industry as a whole.
All-In Diversity Project co-founders; Kelly Kehn issued a statement welcoming Microgaming aboard emphasising the value of the developer’s participation in the initiative. Kehn said that Microgaming’s extensive gaming industry experience and expertise would add significant value to the project’s endeavours. She also applauded the developer’s genuine passion for people, stating that this is reflected in the diversity of Microgaming’s teams worldwide. Kehn concluded that the project has unlimited potential thanks to the participation of organisations of this calibre.
Upon announcing the partnership on Tuesday, Microgaming’s Chief Financial Officer, John Coleman explained that the diversity of the company’s workforce supports a robust, dynamic, and forward-moving organisation. In order to maintain this diversity, said Coleman, it is vital to identify sector-specific barriers to inclusion and then to work on breaking down those barriers. In light of this, Coleman said that Microgaming is looking forward to working with All-In Diversity to generate a more inclusive environment within the global gaming industry.
The All-In Diversity Project was founded by respected gaming industry executives, Kelly Kehn and Christina Thakor-Rankin in late 2017. It is an industry-driven initiative that aims to foster diversity, inclusion and equality within the international betting and gaming sector.
This begins with collecting data in relation to these issues to establish and publish its All-Index. This will be the standard industry index to definitively benchmark diversity, equality and inclusion practises. It will provide an annual progress update by which industry players can monitor the gaming landscape in this regard and form a starting point for strategy creation.
All-In Diversity will also provide information to the industry about best practices in terms of diversity in areas such as recruitment practices, corporate governance, equal pay, internal policies, unconscious bias, employment legislation, and even marketing
Ultimately, the project hopes to provide a platform for open, objective and constructive dialogue about matters pertaining to diversity throughout the industry on an international scale.
